The project is a multilingual poetry selection and translation effort that intends to divulge contemporary Russian, Arabic, and Spanish literature in Finnish. Reversely, it will select and translate contemporary Finnish literature into at least Spanish and English. There will be two kinds of participants. First, scouts (language experts) will select poetry in their own languages. Secondly, translators will render the pieces of literature into Finnish or alternatively into English or Spanish. Each section will contain 40 pages of original poetry plus the translation. The product is an anthology featuring an overarching introduction and brief forewords for each language, that serves as a panorama or state of literature in each one of them.
This would add up to 320 pages plus the introductions, rising the total count to around 350 pages. The project must be completed before the end of 2022.
