With the support of Kone Foundation, Sivuvalo’s members José Luis Rico and Roxana Crisólogo participated in the Redes II Literature and Activism in Latin America Colloquium which took place at NTNU university, in Trondheim, Norway, on May 11 and 12, 2023. This colloquium was organised by the Nordic Network of Latin American Literary and Cultural Studies.
Rico and Crisólogo’s contribution was the curatorship of a poetry reading that meditated on the colloquium’s main subjects. The participants were Rico and Crisólogo alongside scholars and poets Violeta Barrientos (Lima) and Jorge Locane (Oslo University). Barrientos and Locane also contributed with presentations on different aspects of the relation between literature and activism.
University of Gothenburg Professor Andrea Castro recorded the reading and featured it on her podcast Poesía al Paso, produced in collaboration with the scholar Azucena Castro.
