Walid Zribi (1978) is a poet, editor, and T.V producer born in Tunisia. In October 2022 he was detained by the Tunisian police and put under house arrest. Under mounting pressure to collaborate with the government, Zribi fled his home country, arriving in Finland via Spain in November 2022. He currently resides in a refugee camp in Vantaa, where he is seeking refugee status to avoid what would certainly be a life-threatening deportation.
