AFO PUB was a series of multilingual poetry interventions and aphorism workshops in eastern Helsinki bars developed in collaboration between Sivuvalo, Stoa, Humak University of Applied Science and Helsinki Poetry Connection.

Poets: Roxana Crisólogo, Kasper Salonen (host) and Daniel Malpica
Musician: Sergio Castrillón (cello)
Aphorism Workshop: Antti Pelttari

Places: Mopo Baari (Kontula), Aapelin Baari (Kontula), Ruiskumestari (Rouhuvuori) and Idän Piste (Itakeskus).

The four nights were an excellent experience even tho no all were completely successful. We learned a lot about this places, the people that visit them, and how they are totally different depending each location, atmosphere and circumstances. This interventions gave us a better perspective of how to handle cultural projects in public places. People were fascinated with the idea of been involved in an interactive experience hearing and participating. Definitely a project that we have to continue in the future.

Special thanks to Petra Hannus, for your great work during this process.
