Sini Silveri was born in the Northern Finland town of Kemi. She has a degree in dance and environmental history. Silveri’s first chapbook, Muovailen muovipussista kaunista kahvaa, was released by Zap Books in 2016. Titaanidisko, her first full-length poetry book, came out in 2020 under Poesia. Platforms like Kiiltomato and Helsingin Sanomat received the book with early interest. In late 2020, Titaanidisko was awarded the Kalevi Jäntti poetry prize. Sini Silveri composes noise music, paints, and divides her time between Helsinki and the Finnish countryside.
The author gave an interview (“Paths in the Cyborg Wilderness“) to the Baltic Humanoids poetry series run by Sivuvalo and NOXLit.
A sample of Titaanidisko in the Finnish original, and Spanish and English translations, are also featured in the series.
