Description:

The last twenty years have seen several, often conflicting trends in Latin American poetry: conversation and hallucination, baroqueness and ellipsis, the transhistorical and the political, epos and whisper. The poets will read their originals, accompanied by Finnish versions. The discussion will address the commonalities and divergences in the poetry of five writers from different background, as well as contemporary Latin American and European poetry.
